The new xAPI specification allows for more comprehensive tracking of user behavior and online experiences. It also allows for the tracking of activities outside the LMS. Asentia supports both internally launched and externally run xAPI content.
SCORM wrapper for Videos, PPTs, and PDFs
Lessons can be created directly from your existing non-SCORM content. The system will automatically put a SCORM wrapper around the video, PPT, and PDF files to support learner tracking and reporting.
Built-in Quiz and Survey authoring
Management of Instructor Led Training (ILT) events.
Support blended learning by combining Instructor Led Training (ILT) with e-learning courseware. ILT events are managed by scheduling sessions at specific times and locations, along with the instructor(s).
Completion Certificates Course Only
Customizable certificates may be automatically awarded and delivered to learners when they complete the associated course or learning path.
Learning Paths
Learning paths may be created to provide learners with a guided sequence through multiple courses. The learner may enroll/be enrolled in a learning path that includes a series of courses via a single enrollment action. Learning path progress and completion are tracked and reported by the system.
Task Assignments
Lessons may consist of tasks and homework assignments. Learners may download an assignment, complete it and re-upload it for grading. Automated workflow feature notifies the appropriate individuals for grading.
On-the-Job Training (OJT)
Lessons may include ad-hoc, one-on-one training events (On-the-Job Training events) or may support performance evaluations. For example, a course may conclude with a lesson where the learner must perform a task and be evaluated by a mentor or instructor. The observer will monitor the learner and complete an online questionnaire rating them on their performance, which becomes part of the learner’s record.
Certifications/CEU Tracking Add On
Customizable certificates may be automatically awarded and delivered to learners when they complete the associated course or learning path.


Ad-hoc, Automated, and Dashboard Reporting Capabilities
All system data is available for ad-hoc reporting. The Asentia LMS’ powerful reporting engine allows you to view all data managed by the system in your report, configure multiple data filters, and define the sorting order — giving you the maximum degree of flexibility to create the exact reports you need. Note: Report data includes all user profile and activity data, including custom fields that you have added for your users.
Assign Specific Reporting Permissions
The reporting engine is controlled through the Asentia LMS’ permissions layer. Admins control what data may be viewed and limit what users may be reported on. For example, you may assign a manager to the reporting features but limit access to only course transcripts or progress data only for the learners in a specific group.

Users may join online communities that support specific interests. Community sign-up may also trigger access to documents, automatic enrollment in certain courses; access to specific, restricted catalogs; or even assignment of permissions (roles).

Groups, communities, and courses may feature an online Wall that allows users to post or respond to questions and comments. This feature drives spontaneous communication in support of informal, peer-to-peer learning and collaboration.
