That’s A Wrap!

Wow, where did 2018 go? Seems like only yesterday we were looking forward to 2018 and now we can’t wait for what 2019 has in store for us. We had a great year that brought a lot of great improvements to Asentia LMS, partnerships, an amazing trip to California, and a handful of awards and recognition. Here are some of our favorite moments from 2018;

In February we released Asentia 1.11

Asentia 1.11 brought many new changes and features that included;

  • New layout of the administrator menus,
  • Ability to duplicate existing instructor-led training sessions,
  • Added graphs for at-a-glance analysis,
  • Additional email notification trigger options,
  • New shared documents widget,
  • SCORM package download,
  • and much more!

…Asentia was also named one of Craig Weiss’s Top 50 LMSs for 2018

Another award in March

We were very pleased that Asentia was named one of Education Technology Insights Top 10 Learning Management System Solution Providers for 2018, check out the article HERE.

In April we published our White Paper xAPI – Look Before You Leap, here’s a preview…

With quite a lot of buzz and not a lot of rock-solid answers (or sources in which to find them), we set out to confirm and/or debunk some of the rumors surrounding xAPI, its mechanics, practical uses, position in the current eLearning environment, comparison with SCORM, design techniques, and development considerations. We wanted to back-up (or deny) some of the claims we’re hearing with a concrete objective analysis in hopes to address the statement, “xAPI in the future of eLearning”. READ the Whitepaper.

In May we took this show on the road

In the beginning of May a few of us jumped on a plane and headed to beautiful San Diego, California to attend and exhibit at the 2018 ATD International Conference and Exposition. The weather was perfect, the food was fantastic, and everything about the Conference and Expo was amazing, from the key note speaker Barack Obama to all the great people who stopped by our booth to learn about Asentia. We can’t wait until next year when ATD 2019 will be coming to Washington, DC.

May also brought more improvements to Asentia with the release of Asentia 1.12

Asentia 1.12 brought new features that included;

  • The ability to restrict portal access to certain IP addresses
  • Added event email notifications
  • Added “long description” and “objectives” fields to ILT modules
  • And much more

July brought a new partnership

In July, we announced our partnership with OpenSesame. Integration with OpenSesame allows for our customers to access thousands of eLearning courses and incorporate them within Asentia LMS. Everything from searching/browsing the course catalog, to making the purchases, and automatic synchronization of content is done seamlessly through the Asentia LMS interface.

More improvements for Asentia were made in July

At the end of July, we made Asentia even better with the release of 1.13, along with the integration of OpenSesame we added some great new features that included;

  • The ability to add more than one instructor to an ILT
  • The ability to create ILT-specific email notification
  • Much more
